Akitakomachi rice is a Japonica short grain rice. Akitakomachi is on of the best Japanese rice. This rice is suitable for making Sushi, Onigiri, Sashimi and all the Japanese manu. Once freshly cooked it become sticky and chewy in texture. Even when it is cold it is still delicious becasue it still retaining its shape and moisture.
This rice is grown in Thailand and can be harvested 2 times a year, once in June and November.
